Books

I have a bookshelf in my room that holds 178 books which I have not read. Some I have started and put aside in favor of another, more exciting or interesting book of the moment. Some are classics such as "As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner and " Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy which I have been meaning to read for years. There are non-fiction books, novels and collections of short stories, a couple of biographies and a few memoirs.

Since money is so tight this year, I plan to read from my shelves instead of buying new ones from the bookstore. I should be able to get through quite a few this summer. I won't have anything else to do.

In a couple of weeks, I will begin to work the GCS summer hours.....7:30 am til 5:30 pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:30 am til 11:30 am on Friday. I will get an hour for lunch so I will be able to read a lot more than I am able to during the school year. There will be fewer distractions.
