PaPa's Birthday

I think PaPa's birthday party was a success! Everyone was able to be here except Hannah, who is still in Florida; Tyler, who is at the beach with friends and Mark's family; Mark was working and everybody else was at camp. We missed all of ya'll!!

I made three different kinds of spaghetti sauce, Mexitalian (a pretty basic meat sauce), Ultimate Quick and Easy Pasta Sauce (a simple chunky tomato sauce) and Eggplant Bolognese. Everyone loved the Eggplant Bolognese!!

We also had salad from the Olive Garden, Nita brought tossed salad, I made a loaf of Herbed French Bread and Kate & Brian brought an appetizer - Bruschetta!! It was delicious!!

Sandy was in charge of dessert and she did great! She made a Blackberry Wine cake and a Persimmon Pudding. Keith and Tami shared a wonderful German Chocolate cake that a friend brought to them since Tami has been out of commission. She had surgery on her knee last week to repair a torn ACL, ripped meniscus and a chipped bone. When she does something, she really does it right!! Ouch!

I have the greatest family! We always have a great time when we get together. I love you all very much.
