Saturday Night

Lindsey and I met Daddy at the Rainbow Restaurant tonight for dinner. It made me unutterably sad. I sat there remembering all the times we ate there when Mama was alive....often with Sandy and Chip, frequently with Erin, sometimes with other family. I miss her; she was the glue that held us all together.

Daddy looks good though and I believe he is as happy as he can be. He made 2 pound cakes last night for the bake sale at his church today and then played golf with three of his buddies this afternoon. He is tanned and looks healthy.....much healthier than me.

Someone said that the only constant in life is change.....or something like that. But we don't have to like it; just live with it.
