This weekend I got Lindsey to help me put together my Square Foot Gardening boxes and Erin and I went to the Farmers' Market on Saturday morning in search of bedding plants. I bought six heirloom tomatoes, two pickling cucumbers, parsley, thyme, lemon balm, lemon basil, rosemary and lavender. I also bought pea seeds.
I planted everything on Saturday and it looks great! Now Lindsey is making protective covers for them to keep out the squirrels.
I think I will probably put together one more box and plant some squash and butter beans....maybe a couple of other herbs such as sage and cilantro.
I haven't had this much fresh air in a year. I love it!
